so i have a 2003 SXT and i've been having this problem: when i first noticed it i was in park and i saw the rpms going up to 1500 i thought i'd look into it and didn't really think about it till rpms increasedhigherand higher the more i drove it but only in park and neutral.while driving takingmy foot off the gas didn't really change my speedi have to brake to slow down. also my oil light comes onevery once in a while.if i try to accelerate too quicklythe car shakes and barely lurches forward with no power i have to accelerate very slowly.the check engine light codes were telling me something was wrong with TPS or MAP sensor and i replaced both without change idecided to take it to a dodge dealership foolishly thinking that they might have a better knowledge and moreexperience with neons and maybe even this particular problem, they told me there was a hole the size of a baseball in the intake manifold which i paid (way too much) to be replaced, within two weeks the problemstarted again and continues.i am a 1000 miles from home and my regular mechanic i can trust, i can't afford to keep throwing my money away, just to not have this resolvedso if i could maybe find out what it possible could be before i go to a mechanic i would possibly get taken advantage of less. any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

 

change your oil...... if your oil light is going on that means either you have too much or too little oil in there... so change it NOW!
