Default Remve the cat

Anyone new removed their cat lately with success? Real-world results since... any difference good/bad in mileage, torque, hp, etc.

Well let's all assume it's for "off-road" use only...

well without the cat you can also get a lot of back firing here and there... might even get some "flame" action... i have a cat but i dont have any resonators in the mid pipe... and i have the SRT4 rear section on there... and occassionally ill get a back fire... specially right before oil changes, sometimes i get a little flame or two out of them... but its barely noticable...

I had the cat out for a while and it was awesome, very loud. It would back fire once in a while and sometimes spit out flames. I ran that setup for like a year, not so good on gas mileage.

The only way you'll see any gains by removing the cat. converter is if you replace it with a long tube header...

Any other "perceived" power gains are simply from the increased volume of the exhaust, backfiring, etc...
