Default Yet Another CAI question

I bought a SRI from ebay for $20, but I want to get a K&N Typhoon CAI. It only comes with one tube from the throttle body to the filter though. If I took the tube from my old SRI, and put it on the other side of the throttle body (manifold side), would it help any, or is that just a stupid idea?

Default RE: Yet Another CAI question

I doubt that anyone has used a CAI without the TB to Manifold pipe, dyno tested, put the pipe on, and dyno tested again. So honestly there probably aren't any facts. IMO I think it would help though. I mean, that tube from the TB to Manifold probably isn't great for air flow at all. I would do it.
