& the cam gears aren't required.
The computer is recommended before the cam from Modern P. and Howell.
In my situation I would say, if money isn't an issue, I would get the AFX computer (unless you're talking about the Mopar computer for the 1st Gen Neon which are cheaper than the AFX). The AFX computer is the only option for my 2nd Gen Neon. Getting that computer would be a more expensive job than the cam job. Really your spending at the least 525. The cam job is at the least 250 for the cam then like 130 for the valve springs.
