Default Error Code PO340 crank sensor

I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt. For about a couple of months I have been having this code keep coming up. When it first happened I just thought okay no big deal, I replaced the sensor which I got from dodge dealer. Well that seemed to work for a while then all of a suddened it started happening again. Well now its doing it 3 to 4 times a week sometimes it goes away right away, some times it takes about a hr of driving but now nothings working. car wont bearly start. and if i give it any gas it kills out. If you have any idea's please let me know

P0340 is the cam shaft sensor... Check the wires on the drivers side of the cam. That is where the magnet and sensor is. Could be a loose wire...

yeah i had this same problem, and it only came on as a CEL about every 3 starts. and when it did come on, the car wasnt worth $h*t. i replaced the sensor, and no problems since. probably about 7 thousand miles ago.
