Default new member/need help

Hey, I have a 02 dodge neon. Having trouble with air. Added freon and it will get cold for about 5 min. then it will get hot, then cycle starts over. Can anyone give me some idea of what might be wrong?

Have someone check the pressure in your system when its running. Also may have air in the system like what bone said.

You used the R134 stuff right? NOT ACTUAL Freon, correct?

when you open the valve Air gets in there and contaminates the system... you have to have a shop vacuum all of the air out of the system... theres a ton of threads on 2gn.org explaining the same problem..... if that doesn't fix it then there is a leak somewhere... but i'd just have a shop do it... less of a hassle and they have the right tools to do it

Thanks for the info! Had a buddy with a vacuum clean out system and problem still exists. Next gonna take to shop and test for leak.
