The cluster stores the mileage in it, it doesn't reset when unplugged. Your going to need a faceplate then, keep checking ebay you'll find it.

 

does the one u have srt have the tach that u want to sell??? if so how much?

 

I only have the stock black face w/o tach and i just sold a white face w/tach.
Chrysler only had the black w/o tach(base models)and the white w/tach for our neons

with this fit my 02 or are the plug ins different?

i thought they only came with the auto trannys? not sure why dodge did that, put a five speed with no tach in the car????

 

As far as I know, it should be plug-and-play with your 02.

And although the ES models had black-faced clusters, I could swear I have seen 5-spd black-faced clusters with tachs somewhere, unless my memory is going to crap on me again...

... but if not, they should have that annoying up/down shift light in the dash. I cant stand those...

 

all i need is a tach, not really caring about the shift signal.... i have two shift lights for my car, but i want a tach that will work properly, like my old one, BUT i want it black faced, the rest of my gauges are black, dont want to mix them together....lol,

 

My SE has a 5-spd in it and came with the black instrument cluster w/o a tach so I switched it out for a white faced cluster with the tach. Works fine, and i don't have an annoying shift light. The only problem is the mileage changed, but I plan on driving this car till it dies so it really doesn't matter.

As far as buying a black insert to change the color, I dunno. But if you find somewh ere to get one let me know. I def. would li ke one as well.
