NEW Official 2nd-Gen Off-topic Thread
That sucks contagious. Sorry man. Forecast for my area is cold and colder which means more snow! Woot. I got my car sideways (yes I was trying) the other day when we had a couple inches on the ground. It was fun. Snow tires FTW.
Dang sorry to hear contagious, that sucks too matt. Well my rim is cracked so it needs to be replaced. The thing is though my wheels are discontinued so I'm having trouble tracking them down. So I might end up buying new wheels all the way around.
1st choice: Stick with current wheels

What do you guys think?

2nd Choice. So far I've bent one of my 17" rims in the 3 years of owning them. Which I think is pretty decent, the roads here are in rough shape most the time because of all the freeze-thaw that occurs here. The rim I bent should not have happened either, a construction company was paving a road and they cut the asphalt down about 3-4 inches and did not really taper it back up to the normal road surface. Which I don't have a problem with, but they had no sign or anything marking the change in grade. So I went through there early in the morning going to school and hit the bump at about 20 mph and it bent my rim. Needless to say, I called and bitched at MDOT, who then told me what company was paving that section and I bitched at them. They told me to find a replacement and let them know how much it was and they would pay for it. I had to sign some release saying that any other damage found on my car I was responsible for. It definitely pissed me off. The rim is probably actually driveable, but I don't know for how long. I still have it, as I don't know what to do with it. DJ, I would recommend that if you are running like a 205/40/17, that you bump it up to 215/40/17 as it will give you a tad bit more width and sidewall. I also noticed it rides slightly smoother.
Alright guys, if I could go back in time I would definatly do 17's but right now I'm sticking to the 18's so I don't have to spend another 400 for tires. Also guys would I be able to run a 215/40/18?
thanx guys, i found out who did it so now its time to confront him. but i say wit ur car 2nd choice would look good. on the tirerack link, i clicked view on vehicle and u put a srt. lmao, u dont have a srt. lol i cant stop lauging
I have always been curious, DJ what kind of struts are you running? The typical 00-02 neon struts can only handle 17's with 205/40/17...So are you running something else like SRT struts or aftermarket coilovers to handle the 18's?
How did you find out who killed your dog. and what will you do to him once you find him?

Stock suspension can hold 215/35/18's which should be the same that he has.. Thats what my old 18's were that KARR now has.. And you can go a little bit farther with 17's, 215/40/17 or like what I am running 205/45/17. I'm not sure if you can run 215/45/17's on stock suspension....
