I can't believe i am going to say this but, i am heavily considering my next car to be the new turbocharged cobalt ss. It is a very good deal for under 24k fully loaded+ I would get it for 21k b/c my mother works for manheim.
Getcha a used SRT4 for half that, and blow the Cobalt's doors off.
Getcha a used GTO for less than that, and pick up bitches.

Getcha popcorn.
Yes a HEAVILY USED srt, I am impressed about the 100k/5year warranty on it. I am going to need a good reliable car when i go back to school, this car is cheap and somewhat fast. I have a feeling the aftermarket is going to be big for the ecotec.
Which reminds me, We( me and my father ) are thinking about selling our goat for a 1970 dodge demon, that needs absolutely nothing done to it and a very fresh rebuild.
probly not because I can't afford to insure 2 cars at my age. I would probly part out the performance and visual goodies and sell her, but this is about a year and half down the road.
Get a new car...buying a used SRT-4 is like marrying a prostitute
Ha ha... nice comparison. If you find a good deal, they are out there. My old neighbor in Michigan had a SRT4 '04, and she BABIED that thing. She ended up selling it privately for what she owed on it ($12,000 according to her)... she was in a jam and was moving to another state, so had to sell it fast. I couldn't afford anything besides what I had at the time... but needless to say with less than 10k miles on it and as clean as new IMO, she sold it in a few days. It looked awesome under the hood too... and so did her car .
I would just have a hard time spending $24k on a new, stock Cobalt... I can think of other nice cars that I personally would pick over the Cobalt in that price range... just me though.
