The power door lock on the passenger side of my 2000 neon does not work. I can manually unlock the door and open it. But when I press the unlock button, there is a very loud "buzzing" sound. I would like to repair this if possible. Can anyone explain what is going on and how to repair it?

 

sounds like the actuator is either stuck or broken. you need to check and see if the rods are bent or not. if not try spaying pb blaster on it, and if that don't work then you will need to replace it
