Default crane 10 or crane 12

im lookin to buy a new cam for my 05 neon i heard that the crane 12 comes in the rt engines im wodering will it work for my stock engine or should i go with the crane 10 thats less aggressive

Crane 12 does not come in the RT engines. The cam the RT comes with is similar. If you do chose to upgrade to the 12 you are going to need valves and valve springs as your stockers are not going to last. I looked into doing it last year, but it was too much work/money + no where to work on car at the time so I bailed.

Except you don't need new valves, just valve springs and maybe retainers (personal preference as some say yes and some say no).

Do the stock retainers fail that easy?
