Evap Control?
I got a check engine light, checked the code (P0441 EVAP CONTROL). I tried the whole gas cap thing but I still have the CEL.
My questions are, what's the light for?
And I heard that if the car is less than 5 years old, and it's a problem relating to emissions devises, the manufacturer has to do the work free of charge according to either federal or state laws.
That true? Has anyone had this problem?

Possibly related. Were your vacuum hoses tight? The clamping area around the throttle body? I would check it over again.
And yes, tenchically, Chrysler/Dodge has to warranty the emissions system for 100,000 miles, regardless of what kind of line they give you. But it sounds like the CAI is obviously your culpret, it's just a matter of inspecting to figure out why...

The clamp to the throttle body was a s tight as possible, the vacuum hose at the had a tight clamp on it, but the other end I only had slipped in, but it held. What's that hose connect to anyway?
I guess I am a bit fuzzy on which hose you are referring to right now. I can guess that it is the PVC hose you are referring to, but maybe you can try to be a little bit more specific on what you are describing?
Well back to your original response... has the light ever came back since you swapped your CAI, or are you still codeless?

Since the swap, I've had no more code. The only reason I'd think it's something else is cause the CEL came on after having the CAI on for over 6 months.
Doubt it's the gas cap, CEL is now off.

Hmm, I would say it had to be something goofy with the CAI, or something loose that was missed that didn't necessarily have to do with the CAI... broken wire in the IAT, etc etc... and got moved back to properness when you switched things. Sorry, but without more to go off, it's a bit hard to pinpoint I suppose. But hey, at least it went away for you so far...
