can you say rip offs???
Im curious about the winter also. If you hit some frozen clumped up snow (like the kind left behind after a snowplow comes through) then if it hits the tubes watch out.
the motion lights are illeagal on the road but you can make them move if you are just parked,as for winter i don't plan on driving mine in the snow,i have a beater car for that.i imagine if you hit a chunk of ice your screwed, and i have a fiberglass front bumber so i ain't taken no chances hitting ice this winter.
also the neons are incased in acrylic tubes they don't break too easily but if they are monted by zip ties they could break lose, and if u do zip tie u can always cut the ties in the winter tape the wires up and retie them on in the spring.
True true. When I was coming back from Dayton last summer it was dark and a Honda (I think) went pass me and since the highway was dark he had his neons on motion and color changing. It looked good in the dark. Now for it being illegal here IDK but he had them. He had to much pink lighting up for me. LOL.
I will say LED's have a better chance at surviving longer in harsh conditions, and brighter over older-style neon tubes. But it also depends what kind of armor they are wrapped in. Also keep in mind, LED's will have a longer bulb-life than the older neons do... basically, the LED's will last much longer than your car will.
