And with the T850 you get a stronger transmission, many more aftermarket options (there's a company that can make you CUSTOM gear ratios for it too) and the only thing you really have to "worry" about is that pesky 3rd gear issue that some people have...
i was accually looking into that a while ago, but after reading the srt forums, i kinda scratched it, all the trannys with the lsd seem to have the third gear problem...

I assume that if it engineered even close to trannies I have worked with in the past, then 3rd gear is the weakest link on the inside. This isn't too big of a shock to me...

Besides the added weight, I think it would be beneficial for someone like dt to do with the added hp, simply because of the beefier setup, and equal-length CV's and LSD. Personally, I wouldn't rule it out.

that is true, i do like the fact that the cv shafts r the same length on the 2.4... i think for now that the tranny is going to have to stay the same.... one becasue i would need a clutch, cv shafts, knuckles, brakes, rotors, exc. to do a swap like that, maybe in a year or two when i go big brake kit i will do that.... till then i need to go economical build.

You could do a nice study for us... hammer on it like you normally would any other car with 400whp... and at some point, get your T850 ready to go... but don't swap it until you absolutely have to. In other words, I would be curious to see just how much abuse the T350 will take (I assume quite a bit), and how long it will hold up over time under consistant conditions (unknown amount of time, IMO) before it finally lets loose on you. It might inspire me to start putting a little more faith into my MTX as well
