Default UDP question

so...I looked at 03neonRTs how-to on installing the UDP. It said I needed a 3-jaw puller and an A-insert. I don't even know what an A-insert is lol. But anyways, do I really need to run to autozone and pick that stuff up now?

thanks

Yes you need this

You will also need to cut the head off a bolt and put it in, THEN the longest stick because the pulley isn't long enough. You won't know what i'm talking about until you're into doing it already

alright, well I started it anyways. I already have a 3-jaw puller but I couldn't find the insert. I asked two different people at autozone and they were kinda lost. I tried to loosen the bolt on the crankshaft but it just turned the pulley. Are you saying I have to cut that off? How in the world am I going to do that? And how to you replace it? lol. I was just reading 03neonRTs how-to and it didn't really mention that.

NO NO NO don't cut off that bolt lmfao

You need to get the pulley I have above to make the job 10x easier. Don't take those little ***** pullers they're trying to give you. If it's not the above one, go back to AZ and tell them to give you the Chrysler pulley puller. Then get a bolt, cut the head off and put it in the hole, then use the longest rod and start working.

haha, i was like...man, that kinda sounds insane...lol. How do I get that bolt off btw? I can't get it. Isn't the chrysler kit going to be a fortune though? Can't I just get an insert?

That is how you get that bolt off, with the pulley. It will stop spinning when you get the right pulley

Autozone will rent it to you with a deposit of $60 that you get back when you return the tool.

No you can't...the pulley just isn't long enough for the insert
