Default Spark plug wire problem

Hey everyone how are you all doing. I am experiencing a problem with my # 3 spark plug wire. I recently took off my Valve cover and bolted it back on the head. I bolted on the coil and connected all the wires in thier proper order however my # 3 wire dose not snap onto the plug. Is this problem normal with the wires? I have a 2004 dodge neon 2.0 and Mileage is creeping up to 40,000. The wires are the original set from the dealer. If I buy a new set of wires will this resolve my problem? If any one can help with this, it will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

try one of the other wires, if it works, then the #3 connector is broken.

a new set of wires wont hurt it and can be had for $20.

U could try and squeeze the terminal end (careful not to hurt the boot) tighter then check the resistance of said wire.
2280 ohms to 7290 ohms.
