ok well guys i'm gonna do the repairs myself. I have 2 questions. One is how do you take off the door handle. I know remove the panel and thats it. I'm guessing there are a couple nuts. Two is can i use my key for my car in the new handle.

Your going to need the key for the replacement lock. So if your getting the lock from the junk yard or where ever make sure they give you the key.

pretty sure a locksmith or the dealer can change the pins in the tumbler to match your key, just take it to them before you put it in the car.
