Those oil change places dont care about your car all they care about is getting you in and out no matter how they have to change your oil, etc they do it and do it carelessly. Ive been stop going to those quick change places. Quick doesnt mean careful.

i feel sad now. lol. Most of the oil change guys don't care. Then you have the few like me and a couple others i work with take our time cause it doesnt matter, you always get yelled at by someone.

dude an oil change all you need is a jack,and a socket set

the pan,oil, and filter is what you buy

the oil filter is supposed to be hand tightened on so you can hand take it off.but its cake.i've had my car for 6 months and changed it twice.
i would say fluid changes my s*** list would be

hardest=coolant flush-involves alot of work and time
medium=ATF change-10+ bolts for the pan
easy=oil-one bolt and 1 filter

fluid change places are a rip.i got 5 quarts of mobil 1 fully synthetic oil and a mobil one oil filter and a drain pan for 30 bucks(on sale)
a oil place would charge at least 50 bucks for a fully synthetic oil change and it would be some crap oil that aint worth S***

hey heres a great link everyone should look at

Yea I definatly agree on the fluid changes. I have been doing my own maintenance on my vehicles for at least 17 yrs now. Ive done all fluids, and from plugs all the way to crank replacement. Its just with my job the past yr or so Its hard to find time. I work at least 12 hours a day, then when I get days off I got to much stuff to catch up on. But yea definatly from now on Im done with having someone do fluid changes and basic maintenance.

LOL I know how you feel neon chick, tried to go through the auto car wash and got stuck on the guides tonight. Doing it your self is always better, that way its done right. That way you don't have to think "man did they do it right" cuz most time when you take your car somewhere they don't care about doing it right, they just want you out as soon as posible.
