hey guys i use to come here when i had my '98 avenger
but i now have an '03 neon
when i was going to college last week one of the cooler hoses that are for the automatic transmission busted throwing the car into limp mode i did get to class and home but it set me back a few bucks the hose is a dealer only part cost me almost forty dollars!!! plus trany fuild and labor almost another hurdred bucks
its the smaller of the two hoses for the trany b/c of the small space in the engine bay it kept rubbering next to the metal part of the trany causing it to wear a hole in it causing it to bust
so kept an eye on that hose other wise you will be "limping" home too

we all have common problems with these cars like the control arm bushings and fog light problems and even leaks...but thanx for sharing your information.

 

I need to look at my hose and see the condition its in. Good advice. How long did it take them to put it on?

 

if you guys wanna protect yours put loom over the hose.

 

not even an hour the longest part was waiting at the dealer for the hose

 

i cheked mine while i was doin my oil change and its fine

 

i checked mine on a coolant flush and mine is fine...
BTW that top spinner drain plug thing for coolant flushes is a B**** to get to...
