Default Getting New Tires...Why Not Some Rims?!?

So I'm getting rid of my 15s and trying to get 17s.

1) What's the cheapest way of going about this? Online with shipping its looking like $800 for 4 wheels + 4 tires. I just want my cars to have 17s because the space between the tires and the car is too much. It'd look much more badass if it were 17s.

2) Will I need to reprogram my car since I have new size wheels? Will this affect my speedometer? How so?

Thanks.

cool man, if you don't lower your car you will still have a gap between the tires and wheel wells. with 17's your speedometer will be off by like 2 - 3 mph's. so its really not that big of a problem. have fun shopping. make sure to post some pics after you get them. here's what mine looked like before i lowered it. sorry for the pic being kinda far away, but you see the gap.

Yea but I don't know if I want to lower it. I mean, I have the mopar lip kit, so it's close to the ground already. I just think 17s look better. Unless 18s can be put on...

Unless you have some really smooth roads near you, don't buy 18's. Trust me.

18in wheels fit with 215/35/18 tires and on stock suspension.

also don't forgot about a little loss of performance...
I went from stock 14" steelies to 16's..
I used to love the torque-y acceleration off the line, like from a stoplight...
.. that went down after getting the 16's... so unless yer planning to drop in a turbo or SRT motor....

Twan glad to here you are wanting to get rims. 18's will fit, that is what i have but i would recommend 17's. My wheels have seen some wear and tear from having 35 series tires between them and the road. Also you can look in my gallery, mine has 18's with a stock suspension.

There is a tremendous wheel gap even with 17...in fact, I think it is worse.

I have stock suspension, but I might not lower it because of numerous potholes, ride comfort sacraficed, alignments required, and too expensive.

Why not? Twan try searching Ebay or Craigslist for a good deal. Other than that try some local wheel and tire companies in your area. That way you save on shipping.

You've had my 18's for almost two months and you havn't noticed a difference in the ride quality?
