Sweet smell inside cabin, but no steam on windshield?
Ok yesterday I noticed a sweet smell while I was at a stop sign. I was like oh great here goes the heater core...
Well Ive noticed a few things. No steam is being created on the windshield (heater core symtpom), and I only really smell the sweet smell when at slower speeds and or stopped.
Which leads me to believe it is a leak somewhere else. Ive looked for the leak but cant find it anywhere in the engine compartment.
Could it be just the radiator leaking and evaporatoring and thats why I dont see any signs of it?
Is this a common neon problem?
I am barely loosing any fluid when i check it after my 1.5 hour commute home. So the leak is small.
Any thoughts?
Thanks so much

i'd check for leaks at all the hoses... b/c any leak isn't a good thing so hoses are a good first place to start... just remember to check for leaks and mess with hoses when the engine is COLD or you will run the risk of burning yourself badddddddd
Check the radiator cap if you haven't. When I first bought my 03, the coolant would bubble (never got hot, pretty sure it was air from the bad cap), but it also had the smell even though none was leaking. The cap was missing all but a little piece of the gasket. Replaced the cap (~$5 or so), no bubbling problems, and no more smell.
