Headlight Wiring Capability/Capacity

Headlight Wiring Capability/Capacity
Does anyone know if the headlight wiring can handle having both the low and high beams on at once? The brights just don't seem to be that bright compared to my other vehicles, which is kind of important up here in the mountains at night, and I was thinking some sort of relay that gave power to the low filament when the high filament came on would help out, but I don't want to overpower and melt any wiring.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't think anyone here knows the answer to that question. I know that for the silverdo's their is a kit for both the high and lows to be on. Also correect me if I am wrong but the high and the lows come form the same bulb on stock housings. I don't believe that its possible without buying projector style headlights that have a different low and high beam bulb. You could always go out and buy some H1's for relatively cheap.

Yeah, I have seen those kits. I have also seen kits for cars to upgrade the wiring when simply switching to a higher output (wattage) bulb because the factory wiring will melt.
I'm not looking really for a separate bulb, but to have both filaments come on together (same bulb) with a relay. If you have your brights on already, pull the lever as if you were going to turn them off but hold it, both filaments will be on.
