Exclamation Should i get a new car?????? advice please

okay, i had an 03 sxt 2.0 and i loved it. although it was an auto it was still nice and drove great....long story short i blew my motor. and ive been hearing a lot of bad things about neons. that they arent worth it... but im in love with them. how long have you guys had your car and does it still run great. is it really worth the money. and would you recommend an srt-4 or a standard neon????? thank you for your opinions and advice. (SELLING ALL PARTS FROM MY NEON. IF YOU NEED PARTS MESSAGE ME)

i would recommend buying yourself my neon and putting an SRT4 motor in it... you will prolly be the only person with a shale green metallic SRT4 swapped neon :-D YAY!

If you loved it and want a neon, why not just buy a new engine, don't blow it up, and be good to go?

As far as it being worth the money, you can get a 2.0 engine for much cheaper than a new car.

I would agree with darthroush. Unless there are other issues with yours, then that would be the plan. Izero's neon is a perfect example. His had over 100k and no issues that I know of. Mine only has 70k and runs great. With SRT-4's you have to be careful because some kids beat them like crazy.

depends on how many problems you've had with it. like mine for ex. I've replace almost everything on it except for the engine and it has 100,000 miles on it now.

Considering the information received via PM just now, sounds like the car should be sold to a recycler after parting it out and move on to another car. With the situation you are in with the car, yeah, it isn't worth it. Though, I wouldn't call a Neon a bad car because of an accident. Not really the cars fault.

I won't put up the information though, I will leave that to the OP...

So it sounds like the person got it wrecked and is having issues with it because of that?

Just buy another Neon or SRT and be careful with it and take care of it. Ive had mines over a year and it runs good. (Knock on wood)
