Default a few 2001 neon questions

yesterday morning i picked up a 2001 neon from the local junk yard. all it needs is a new passenger side halfshaft.
well, i have a couple questions about the car since ive never owned a 2nd gen.

according to just tach, the car idles at about 500 rpm's...is that normal? it runs nice and smooth without any loping or anything, just seemed odd that it idles that low...

the KBB price on the car in good condition is $3200...any idea what i might be able to get out of the car?
2001 "dodge motorsports" black 4-door neon.
automatic trans. 129,000 miles
no power options no cruise control
01 r/t style spoiler
premium sound option
kenwood cd player
aftermarket 15" aluminum wheels with brand new tires
in great shape inside and out besides a few minor blemishes...

im just currious because the car will be up for sale on tuesday after i install the new halfshaft. i was hopeing to get $3000 out of it

no, the idle should be around 7-800 RPM's.

well i guess i will have to check into the idle issue then....
i dont know if the timing belt, water pump, or idler pulley have been replaced nor do i have any intentions of changing them...
i guess either way it still isnt bad for $500

Yeah I idle at around 750 rpm, too.

And this car would probably have been a lot easier to unload a couple months ago when gas was nearly $5/gallon. The high gas mileage does best selling cars when people can't afford their gas. I think you'll still be able to get more out of it than you put in.
