My battery went dead in my 04' Neon SXT when I was at work and I had security give me a jump with their battery jump start. When I got a jump, the speedometer and tachometer needles flipped around backwards and are now resting under the pins. Is there any way to reset this?

 

You should be able to reset the cluster by holding the trip/reset button down and then turning your key on.

 

I believe the reset procedure is also in the owner's manual.

 

I'm sure I read this exact same post yesterday either on here or another forum. Whoever it was did the reset and it fixed it. Was that you?

 

Had the same problem (needles going backwards) while diagnosing starter issues in a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan, holding the trip meter button, waiting for the display to reset, then keying the vehicle on turned the needles back the right way.
