crank but wont turn over?
well i hope this forum can help me like jeepforum.com used to (mym gf has neon)
soo heres the scoop,
2003 dodge neon 2.0
it was giving me codes for a while about the crank shaft sensor and the cam shaft sensor being bad or ooutta wack, (p0016, and i think some 0322? or somthing like that) the check engine lite would pop on and off sometimes,
was driving fine all day then next thing i no i went to pay my rent and was driving down the road blasting the radio and the motor just cutt off on me, (radio was still on) so i pulled to the side of the road towed it home, the car cranks but wont turn over, i replaced the camshaft sensor, didnt help, just finished replacing the crank shaft sensor, didnt fix it either! so i tryed to hold the gas down and just crank it for a min see if maybe just air in line, nah didnt do it, but it did give me a new code, p0522 somthing bout oil not right, checked lvl oil wasss low so added some oil let it sit tryed again, nothing, the spark plugs have been replaced about 1month ago, is half a tank of gas, anybody got any ideas? i got a family of 5 including me so i really really need my car working tonite, plz help!

woah 141k and if da timing belt hasnt been changed b4 than i would think ur belt snapped and bent ur valves, on the timing belt cover there is a piece on the top u can remove to look at ur belt, just take a flashlight and peek through.
some1 told me that a way to check the fuel pump is to open the gas tank and put your ear up to the hole and listen,feal a suction is this true? also i checked the repair manual for timming belt removal. i hope there is a easy spot to look threw cause its a tuff job to change/inspect as the manual says.... any tips?
also some1 told me that the ignition? went bad or somthing, is there a way to check for a spark at the spark plug? they told me somthing that sounded weird and i didnt even try it, not sure if i trust them so id rather listen to people that actually drive this kinda car.

yea dude those timing belts are susposed to be changed at around 100k. im working on getting mine done in the next few days and i havent even broke 80k. just a percaution on my part. but i agree with contagious19, check your timing belt first and if everything looks ok, go from there.
so i got a friend of mine to check it was the timiing belt, he replaced the timing belt and runs now, new probleys happened today, im guessing the motor mounts are bad cause when your at a stop sign or just idle, the motor rocks verryyyy bad, so i gotta change that and today i was drivcing and a new engine code went on P 0301, missfire or somthing? any ideas what to do now? the car rides smooth and drove smooth all day today, only thing im really worried about is that motor mount... how many mounts are on that engine? i no theres 1 top left and 1 bottom left, whats on the right side? and were at? please help
