Default Question on a timing belt replacement

i have a 04 neon sxt with 75k miles. im planning on getting the timing belt changed sometime within the next week or 2. while im at it i might as well get them to replace the water pump while they are right there at it. now since i work at autozone i can get the parts for next to nothing. my question is, i went to order the timing belt kit that with comes with the belt and tensioner but when i did, the computer gave me the option of ordering the mechanical or hydraulic tensioner kit. how would i tell which one my neon has, or i wont be able to know until the timing belt cover is off or would i just be better off getting both and sending the one i dont need back. thanks in advance
