Default Motor Mount Change

OK, i've looked all over the sight and my eyes hurt, which is now why i bothering you guys

I'm looking for a DIY to change out my motor mounts, i just got back from the dealer after getting an oil change for them to tell me i need my mounts changed along with timing belt.

They quoted me $880+tax for all the work.

I'm ordering the motor mounts from

for fairly cheap.

I also have a chiltons, but would just like opinions from the pros here.

Well I can give you the jist of it. Which mounts are you changing? All three?

Really all you do is put a jack under the engine to support it and unbolt and change one mount at a time. You will have to remove the right front tire to remove the splash shield on that side though. Two bolts on each one.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm definately changing the top one since the rubber is obviously broken, i have yet to look at the others but will probably change them out also. Since i can only order two from rockauto.com, i'm gonna have to find where to get the third. Again thanks for the help.

Is the third (your transmission mount) actually broke? Usually only the 2 motor mounts are the ones to go.

if you plan on doing the timing belt the you can get the middle one it is in the wheel well and bolts too belt tensioner so you have too take that of too get too the mount and when you do the timing belt it has too come of anyway
