Carmax Diagnosis Question
I took my car into Carmax because I was getting a constant squeak/squeal while driving (only from the right front, and it goes away when breaking). Anyways, here is the diagnosis:
"Test drove to confirm noise from right front wheel. R&R r/f caliper & rotor to inspect. Rotor has rust causing noise. Rf rotor .834 & lf .830. pads 12/32. Need to machine rotors and resurface pads."
Anyways, my question is this: is this reasonable? I paid $50 for the inspection and am upset that they just said it was 'rust'. My car has 25,000 miles and I got the rotors cut about 6,000 miles ago from the Dodge dealer. I also got new front pads only 6,000 miles ago (high quality Adaptive One pads from NAPA). Why would I only be hearing it from the right front if the rotors are pretty much equally rusted? Is this normal for a car?
What should I do?

You could always get some emery cloth and give the rotor and pads a quick rub-down and see what happens. That will remove anything on the surface. Though, I'd think if that were the issue, it would make more noise while braking? IDK, give the above a shot. Shouldn't take too long to do it.
