A New Neon Project
Type R > Tpye M.....
I was getting prices for everything two months ago, right before winter started (02 bumper, dr. side fender and 00 type r lip) and it would only cost me 150 bucks. Yeah I got the hook ups.... I was thinking about doing this in march.
By the way, modernperformance doesn't seem to carry the vibrant performance rear section anymore along with the thermal, all they have is the crappy pacesetter.

I'd love to pic up a 02 front bumper for mine dirt cheap but i can't find anyone to sell one. Checked junk yards too. Not a fan of any chrysler front ends. As for the bulldog adhevision promotor i use it on my r/c cars i'll show you example of using it and not using it for i royally beat my r/c cars. Another note i think wingless looks a lot nicer or you can go with a small lip spoiler like dtjackten has done.

^^^without it notice the paint chipped off of the smooth lexan.

^^^black modified body is with it trust me it holds up

^^^another example but where you can tell i royally beat my r/c cars.

Last year I had an 05 R/T, it was *very* nice, and I had done a lot of subtle work on it. But it got totalled, actually I nearly got totalled with it. here's my old R/T :

I had done the windows, subwoofer, car alarm, and put leather in it front & back. It also had a CAI and an underdrive pulley, which made it just fast enough to surprise & frustrate a lot of other cars out there (Tiburons, 300Ms, Taurus SHO, a v-6 mustang, etc). I found it to be faster than its advertising. I believe it was supposed to go 0-60 in 7.8 seconds, but I found that I reliably did it in 6.9 seconds going both directions on the same stretch of road (and about 6.4 with the cai & underdrive pulley). Some of that might have been the tires which it came with when I got it (summer ultra high performance 205/50ZR16's)
This pic was taken before I put in the projector headlights & euro taillights. It's a pitty, because it looked very sharp with those. the black insert moldings in the light fixtures, with the smooth clear covers and the round lights inside made them look like a matched set, and the black moldings matching the paint made them look like the car was built with them.
I was going to put a front lip on it, and lower it a bit, and call it done. But it became scrap metal
such is life.
The new 03 sxt neon is definitely a lesser breed, but I got it cheap enough to make something really special out of it I think. Weather permitting I'll grab a few pics of it tomorrow.
...actually... the internet ad for it might still be up, lemme check...
yep, here we go, THIS is the new toy:

They did a pretty good job of photographing it.
(the fogging in the rear window is just condensation, the glass is fine)
So yeah, that's what we're starting with
