i was assuming you were pulling the head to have it ported also lol, i was going to say maybe its out of time, but if its throwing a code, i has to be that sensor.. i dont see what else it would be....

Speaking of this cam sensor... if you were to swap from a SOHC to a DOHC, would you need the PCU and wiring along with it?

 

It ended up being a bad cam sensor. I have some pics on my phone, but don't know how to get them onto here. I could send a couple to someone if they want to post them on here.
