Project SRT wheels pt. 2 **Pics**
Well here is the product that will be sitting on the shelf for a while.
Looks like I bought the hardener for the clear instead of the actual clear. Not that it matters, since I would have to buy it anyway... The vibrance clear doesn't get reduced, its one part clear and one part hardener.

Today I got one wheel sanded (from 1000 to 2500 grit) and layed some paint down.
Tomorrow I will be wetsanding the wheels again with the 2500 to get a fine edge between the lip and the spokes, then I will follow them up with 3000 grit (almost feels like paper). By tomorrow night I hope to have this wheel completely done and polished along with the other wheel prepped for paint for wednesday.
Here are the pics:
The wheels all cleaned up after being sanded with 2500.

I had to do all this in my garage due to the rain... heres one of the dirty car.

Some shots of the wheel masked and painted:

I am exetremely impressed with this upol clear it is really glossy and easy to use, I put 3 layers down with 12 mins in between coats.
I unwrapped it 20 mins ago and it looks great, paint is smooth as glass and as I expected the fineline tape really isn't that fine. While it may be my fault for stretching the tape, I did anticipate this happening which is why I didn't sand with 3000 grit before I painted.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have this wheel sanded with 3000 and get it all polished up and ready.
This little refresh has only costed my 50 bucks since I already had the paint and most of the sandpaper.
All these wheels have to do is look nice until the winter, then they will get flourished with ppg products. Although these wheels won't be going back on this neon after that........ (hint hint)

Dam I have to fix this page, I fuxed it up...
I got It all polished up today well technecially tonight, but any way this wheel is done. I was called into work today so I didn't get to start the other wheel but hopefully that one will be done by tomorrow night and installed on thursday so I can do the other two. Although these wheels aren't in sunlight they are noticeable brighter than the last time the wheels were redone and its hard to see any of the larger scratches like the pics will show..
Enjoy, I have pics with both side by side to show the difference.
(old is on the left and on the right is the new one)

^Compare this pic to the one that was taken on the first page, they both have their picture taken by the same camera and reflecting the same object, notice how this one has no scratches.

I am hoping for a sunny day tomorrow to make some nice pics to show these wheels.

Thank You,
It wasn't sunny out today so I didn't take any pics.
The 2nd wheel is in the garage right now drying so that I can resand it tomorrow. If weather permits, these two wheels will go on the car tomorrow so I can start on the other two wheels. I finally recieved my gallon of ppg aluminum conditioner, almost a month after ordering it.....
The other two weeks will require alot more work then these 2 needed, so they may take longer, I want to be done with them all and have them on the car by next friday.
