Default 2003 trans slipping--need help

This morning my 2003 dodge neon decided it was not going to move. I put it in reverse and it would not move until I revved it up. Same thing in drive. The trans fluid looks like it is at the right level and does not smell burnt. The car has 86,000 miles. I drove it all weekend with no problems. It has been very cold here the last two weeks but a little warmer this morning. Any ideas?

Sounds sorta like what mine was starting to do (at about 83K for me). Does it make any noise out of curiosity? How and when are you checking the fluid? If no noise, I'd say go with the above and try a fluid change first. They are very picky about the quality of the oil.

just pull it out and replace it with a MTX...... you will be happier.. LOL

J/k j/k

I would check the fluid first there might be a clog some where, and when you rev, you build up pressure.
