99 1st gen DOHC head on 01 2nd gen??
Can I put a 1st gen DOHC head on a 2nd gen SOHC car? its an 01 so its not NGC.
Did the pcm's change after the 1st gen cars were done, or not until NGC came in 03? I doubt I'd be able to just swap my PCM and engine harness to control it, but that would be nice.
I found a nice 01 that was in an accident for cheap, and was just wondering if I could frakenstien my engines together to get a nice DD.

Yes its possible, I researched this a while ago and came up with this:
As for parts you would need a new belt for your serpantine (not the ac belt), pretty sure you will need to make a custom intake manifold, dohc timing belt, dohc belt tensioner, do some lengthening of the power steering, change out the cam sensor, idler pulley and you will need some sort of fuel tuning device such as megasquirt beacuse of how lean the motor will become at the higher rpm range.
