trade it in for a Challenger?

 

same thing here i have the same car but its a 3spd no over drive automatic can i do a engine swap to a srt4 and still be ok or will i have to do the trans also, i mean i have a company truck for work and a bike for summer i built so car is for fun and i just ordered a nice *** bodykit duraflex viper.

can any srt4 motor bolt up to a 2001 neon automatic.

 

this is a basic list of what u would need from the srt-4
also it would probably cost around $5000 to do it correct.
and for the 01 automatic neon im sure itll bolt up with a little slight mod with the motor/engine mounts and not going to get technical rite now but also the shifter *** and everything would have to be changed (because its a 5 speed durr.lol)


Engine and Tranny (duh)

Complete Engine Wiring Harness
Complete Engine Bay Wiring Harness
Power Steering Pump, lines, and cooler
Clutch master and slave cylinder
Clutch/Brake Pedal assembly
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler
Radiator Hoses
Lower Motor Mounts (the hole in the lower mount is larger for larger bolts)
SRT PCM (wont' need the bracket if swapping into an 03+)
Axles (and half shaft if it isn't on the engine)
Coolant Bottle
Fuel Line from tank to engine bay
Fuel Pump
Flex Fuel line from solid fuel line to fuel rail
Short evap hose that comes from the purge valve
All vacuum lines and the 3 selonids
o2 Sensors
Turbo Housing + o2 Housing
Lower Control Arms (they're stronger yet the same in shape)

If you plan on using the front brake setup you'll need the following

SRT Power steering rack (it's shorter)
Knuckles
Flexiable Brake Lines
Calipers
Rotors

 

dam ive never had to do an emissions test but that would suck if they had them here in indiana.

and dam that sucks that u cant do the swap either. state laws suck sometimes. i mean dam its ur car u should be able to mod it anyway that u want too as long as its still street legal. ( now im talking engine and stuff like horsepower wise not lowering it being illegal and what not. )

yeah, that is one of the biggest reasons my car is being put back together now, i am not going to dump another 3-4 k into it if i can not even drive it on the street.... (even though i still will) lol

How about you dt taking the trans and rear end drop into your neon so that it's a 400 whp at the rear
