I need some transmission help
Hello I would like to say hi my name is Dan. I just joined up on here today to learn more things about my car. I have been wrenching on my 00 Dakota R/T club cab with paxton novi 2000 supercharger for past 5 years. Well I have a 2003 Dodge Neon SE base model as other ride. I am wondering who is a good vendor for Master rebuild kits for the 41TE transmission in it. Also I need a torque convertor for this as well. Do they offer any upgraded performance rebuild parts for this transmission? I am totally lost when it comes to vendors for the Neon.... Any info would be great thank you... Dan
hey hey dan, welcome to the forums, got lots of ppl on here that give great advice including myself, darthroush, contagious, and many others, sounds like your running an automatic, like i tell everyone else, im not familiar with autos cause i always drive manuals, i did an engine swap not long ago and the engine i put in came from an auto, i just may have the tourque converter, i will check for you, if you want to rebuild, look for any tranny shops around your area, if you want to put a new tranny in, look in junkyards for trannys that has low miles, nine times outta ten, they give a small warrenty for a few days just in case its no good, or even for that fact of the matter, look on ebay for a good tranny.... i would be weary about buying trannys on ebay tho man.... i hope this helps you, and if you have anymore questions, im sure between us all neon geeks we got you covered haha.. peace
im not sure... your probably right, i dont see why they wouldnt make a rebuild kit for trannys cause they have them for everything else.
i read your question wrong when i first posted, i thought you were askiing for help finding someone to rebuild for you haha... i would say they do have master rebuild kits tho like jackten said

When I was first looking into rebuild kits, I just searched through Google. Really, anywhere should be fine to buy from. Worst case, buy with a CC then you will be protected through your bank should anything happen. Just save all receipts, etc. just in case.
