2000 dodge neon The car will not start still!!!
I have a 2000 dodge neon with an 2.0 engine , Anisa my daughter broke the timing belt and bent the valves , I have redid the valves , now I have replaced the crank sensor, cam sensor, coil, plugs, and starter. I have tested the battery, fuel system, and injectors. The car will not start still!!! Does anyone have any clues to help me out? No codes were found after replacing these items.
can sombody please help me i am so lost.
look everyone !!! i am not the only one who has this problem , but I found the answer on my own.... iI hope this can help others . If you have to replace a neon engine you must do these thing if you want it to start.
<br>
Lower vehicle and perform camshaft and
crankshaft timing relearn procedure as follows:
² Connect the DRB scan tool to the data link
(diagnostic) connector. This connector is located in
the passenger compartment; at the lower edge of
instrument panel; near the steering column.
² Turn the ignition switch on and access the “miscellaneous”
screen.
² Select “re-learn cam/crank” option and follow
directions on DRB screen
Most people don't have access to this scanner <but it must be done> I used a snap-on cost 3000 but have the reset feature
Thanks you all for your help.

..... ummmmmmmmmm are you sure the engine has all the timing marks in the right spot....? try resetting the PCM... just make sure all the timing marks in the right place else you'll bend those valves realllll good again :-D

are you getting any power whatsoever... when you try to start the car is your starter kicking...
if it is, when you turn the key on, listen for the fuel pump, if its not kicking in, then i would say the PCM has fried.... i dont know how htis could have happends from just a simple timing belt break, but you never know... just check all the possiblitys... should have to change the engine tho... theres just got to be something wrong, not hooked up or something. let us know, well be able to help
