Another Code 0340 Issue!
Hello All,
I posted a thread a few weeks ago after I had a vacuum leak and 02 sensor fail following an engine swap. It's a 2000 Plymouth Neon
Car has driven beautifully after getting those issues cleared up. On Friday evening I noticed the engine skip or (jerk) around 45 mph.. At first I thought it was a transmission issue. It did it once or twice more on Saturday, then today the CEL came on with code 0340. I checked the code in a grocery store parking lot. On my way home it jerked/skipped 3 more times, once around 35, once at 45, and once at 55.
My auto technician recently replaced the crank sensor on the engine back in September after it failed with symptoms of no power, no accelleration past 40mph, failing while idling.. The new sensor fixed all that.
Are these new symptoms normal for a bad camshaft position sensor? My idle is normal.
Thanks.
