im not exactly sure what your talking about.... but if its like i see it in my head, i would think you could just make a frame out of wood to support the plexi glass... much lighter than metal

 

they sell light weight metal that you can do it with but i guess it kinda depends on the look your going for... i thought wood would be heavier and less sturdy.... in my opinion.

 

You would definatly need metal and you would need to weld a metal frame around the hole that you wanna put in the floor. You would also need to streghthen the floor where you are cutting the hole with metal beams or beams.

 

i don't think he wants to cut the floor out i think he wants to add like a floor over a floor........ this way he can add neons where his feet go.

 

Oh if thats the case, thats gonna be just as hard, there is no headroom in the neon as it is. You could probally just take the seats out and make 4 "neon boxs" and mount them.

 

yeh thats a good idea.. but i don't understand if he wants just neons he can add them without going through all that trouble unless he is going for a different look.. i dunno what he plans to do.. he has not really given specific details of what he actually wants..
