2000 Neon No start problem
So I just picked up this car. Bought it last night. Guy I bought it from said his GF was driving down the highway and it quit on her. They thought it was the timing belt or it had "jumped time". I've never seen a car with a timing belt jump time.
Anyway, I decided to rear into it today. Timing belt is fine, not sure if its dead on, didn't get that far, but I did run a compression check, fuel pressure check and pull the codes. No codes, fuel pressure was between 45-50, but i noticed it bled off fairly quick. Compression was decent. All cylinders was at or around 120 besides cylinder #1 and it was at 92.
I threw in a new cam sensor just because to see if it did anything and notta. It also came with a new coil pack on it. Just cranks. I don't think its getting any spark. Kinda hard to check that yourself.
I'm gonna do some more diagnosing tomorrow but just figured I'd ask on here to see if someone could give me a little insight on it. I don't know these cars well. Give me a Chevy truck and I'm good, but not one of these. Its got 74K miles on it and its an Auto....
