Not good news - looked like minor damage from break in and no rip off on car... Did enough damage to steering unit that needs whole unit replaced - Im looking at $800 - $1000 range for repairs . Will set bomb in car - mess with car - I lose car - You lose life ...... That's the way I feel about this situation .....

That sux, have you tried ebay or the junk yards?

yeah i would imagine you could find one at a junkyard... bargain with them, get it cheap

Ended up paying $770.00 for repair - did enough damage to replace column - too much stuff electrical / airbags / switchs etc... going on in column - had to to replace whole unit .... Oh well - protect car better now ...........Looked minor - cost major ............
