I still dont know what is wrong with my neon. I step on the gas and theres a whining sound, step harder theres a grinding rattling, sputters stutters and doesnt accelerate. Any help wouyld be great.

 

almost sounds like the trans is up too high a gear. i have an auto and if you have it in to high of a gear is sputters and rattles and wont accelerate

 

Not sure how you can have an automatic in too high of a gear? Almost sounds like an ignition/engine electric problem, like plugs or wires...

 

Yeah I dont know. I'm not really sure where to get it checked I dont really have any money to have it checked or fixed. I also never went down and code read the bitch I'm a lazy mo fo. But thanks for the more input.

 

Alright so I have done the code reading but no codes have popped up so I think it may be something minor. Perhaps I do need new plugs and wires. I havent changed them since I got the car a year ago. I have put like 20k or more miles on it so far. And I dont know how new the other plugs and wires were when I got it.
