Sucks it turned out to be the pack after all, but I'm sure it's worth it to have a transmission that works correctly.

Unhappy Similar problem on my 2003 Neon SXT

Hi,

My check engine light came on and i decided to take my car to my local Auto Zone for the free "check engine light" test and the p700 code (transaxle control module) came up. Later on my transmission totally went out....here's the crappy part......I had JUST gone over the 80,000 mile mark which is how long my extended powertrain warrantee was good for. Is this something Chrysler will cover even though it's just over my warrantee? If not then I'm SOL....I just got done paying for the car.....I don't want to have to buy a new one.

If you are over the mileage, it's highly unlikely they will perform that service. You could always ask. The worst that will happen is they will say "no."

Question code P0700 on my 2005 dodge neon

I have an automatic 2005 Neon SXT. I was driving my car and at a stop light after it turned green and i left the light. My check engine light come on, and my car would not shift gears. I looked the code up online it said the transmission control module. But before all this every time i put my car in drive it was really hard on going it to first gear. It would shake the car. It started doing this about 2 months ago. So my father in law came down to try and fix it. After him looking at it he went and got a new solenoid Kit and put that on and went and got a transmission flush. The car will still not shift gears and the check engine light is still on. Please help... I need some advice on this Please.

Did you reset the fault code?

By removing the negative battery cable?

Unhappy 2004 dodge neon 700 code

AAMCO replace my transmission in November of 2012.Since then they have replaced the solenoid pack and neutral safety switch. The 700 code continues to comeback on.I don;t believe I have a perfomance issue because the trans is shifting fine but they have said the wiring is fine, the harnass is fine and that it may be a pc control which is not covered in my warranty.Could it be a computer issue? I want to take it to DODGE but that may void my warranty. The 700 code never came on until the trans was rebuilt.PLease, any suggestions
