Default quick question: how to install cd player

I'm assuming the following when I attempt to install an after market cd player into my 05 neon sxt

1. all cd players should technically fit
2. I need three things: cd player, dash wire harness, and dash installation kit
3. all I need to do is remove the stock cd player and plug the rest in.

I've gotten to the point where I can do it in maybe 2 minutes time..

You need a CD player, chrysler harness, and a mounting kit.

use crutchfield.com if you new to the audio game. They are amazing.. and send all the other stuff for free.

if you have any other questions you can pm me and I'm more than willing to be of assistance.

Like said above use Crutchfield as there knowledgable and can tell you exactly what fits. You can do that by entering your car info on there site. After you find a radio you like shop around for the best price. Crutchfield is on the high side. Sometimes you can find places like Best Buy and others that will offer free install and all you do is buy the wiring harness and radio.

I personally think there is nothing to install a radio. So buying from Crutchfield is your best choice imo. They send everything, and I called them the next day saying I was going to install my receiver in another car and they sent me the harness, and mounting bracket and antenna converter the next day for free.

BTW OP. you will need a set of wire strippers, and about 10 crimps, both those you can get at a hardware store for next to nothing.
