My daughters 02 Neon sprung a trans. leak. The shop her mother took it to change the radiator,a seal in the trans axle and what I'm assuming was the pan gasket.(Vague description from her mother). Now when she is slowing down she said it "slams really hard". Question....is the trans cooler built into the radiator and what a re some cause of harsh down shifts? FYI...this same "mechanic" put the wrong can filter in my transmission on my 04 Dakota causing to NOT shift.

 

maybe the same old coolant in the transmission.... smells like its time for rebuild
