Default Battery power issues?

I'm running a small *** amp, but it stopped working, grounds good, all connections good, basically everything but the battery.. So could my battery be my problem? And if it possibley is could I take the car to like advanced and have it checked out?

I'm feeling extremely n00bish on this post..

If you have a volt meter, use it to detect any gaps. check the posts (not the clamps). then check the fuse in the same manner (+ lead on the fuse holder, and the - lead on the negative battery post.) they should both be between 12.50v and 12.90v when the car is not running. Now check the battery terminal and the ground terminal on the amp (with your wires hooked up)(engine off). Then check the remote accessory terminal on the amp and the ground terminal (wires hooked up)(engine running)(radio on). If either the battery or remote terminal shows up a reading thats drastically lower than the battery post or fuse reading. That means somewhere in the wiring in the car something is draining the battery or theres a short before the power gets to the amp

I'm thinking the short before the amp.. I should probably wrap the wire in the engine bay where the fuse is.. But anyways it started working again today.
