This is the code P0340 (M) No Cam Signal At PCM No fuel sync
any ideas where to start to fix it and how .

this guy is trowing the same code. it maybe the cam sensor that is dead or maybe short in the wires

probably the cam sensor...seems to be a pretty common problem on the 03-05's

relatively easy fix for a do-it-yourselfer to replce... part averages about $25-$30...and is not too bad to get to, drivers side of the engine, right behind the battery...square thing.... alot easier if you remove the battery

thanx all just fix the problem by removing the sensor and cleaning all the oil off from it
put back and it did work no shaking/sputtering .

My wifes 04 did the same thing then the cel went out and never came back. Is it normal for the sensor to be covered in oil? I have read that these engines have cam seal leak problems, is this the cause? Should I just wait to see if the cel comes bak on? The car ran fine for the 3 days the light was on.
