Overheating overflow boiling help!
coolant temperature sensor switch. I just did this in my car like 15 minutes ago
The coolant in my car was overheating and the rad fan wasnt clicking on.
Whe sensor is between your battery and your head. if you take your battery out you will see it right there in the head. how you can check if it is faulty, turn your car on, unplug the harness off of this sensor, and touch a piece of small guage wire from the one terminal to the other. if your rad fan clicks on, BINGO.(this also may take a few minutes for your engine to heat up)
Go to your closest dealer and get one (like 40$) then swap it quickly so you dont lose much fluid. and start your car again and turn the heat on all the way. leave your heater on for a few minutes and top up your overflow tank. as long as there is lots of heat after about 5-10 minutes, then you have no AIR LOCK, and you are as good as new.
