I was told when my friend was changing out his SRT-4 exhaust for a bigger one that the exhaust from a STOCK 2003 SRT-4 will fit onto the 2003 R/T from the cat-back, except the SRT exhaust has a resonator in place of a muffler. He said that all you have to do it get a piece of pipe that will take the R/T pipe size (1.75"??) to the SRT size (2.5"??). I am not sure of the measurments but does anyone know if this will work?

That is correct. Your R/T should have 2.25 inch piping stock. My SXt did, and I put 2.5 inch piping on it from the cat back. Other then that, it should go on there just fine. It will be loud though.

 

Yeah, but does the stock SRT-4 fit under there? AS far as the shpe and bends etc? That is the only thing that I am wondering. I know that I can put a different size pipe, once I get an adapter, I just want to make sure that I will not encounter any problems with running into anything under the car.

It hangs in the same spot. You shouldn't have any problems with it.

 

Well cool. Next question. I know that a Borla Cat-back exhaust costs around $550 for the R/T. How much does a stock SRT-4 exhaust cost? And where the hell can I find one?

There are alot on srt forum Ive seen them for around 80 bucks shipped. Youll have no problem finding one . Try ebay also.
