-Very true. But for me, I just have the stigma of never liking Champion plugs since I was a kid racing hair scrambles with my old Penton 6 Day Trials bike. They never ran well in that bike or any of my buddies bikes either. Just one of those things that sticks with you. Maybe I'll break down and try them again. I'll probably get new plugs this week for mine. They have close to 45k on the NGKs right now.

I've got 30K on my Champions and the gap is still at exactly 0.035" like it should be.

-Ok, you talked me into it. I got a set of Champion RCY9C plugs. I'll probably wait until the weekend to replace them when I pick up a set of replacement plug wires too. That way I'll just get it all done at once. My gut was trying to tell was me not to go with Champions, but I'll give it a shot one more time.

The price difference is not much. I can find the Champions easier and cheaper than the NGK's. Whatever you can find easiest for the cheapest is what I'd go by.

-I think they were the same price as the V-Powers. If not, only 10 or 20 cents less a plug. But I also have a couple each of Advance Autos, NAPAs and Autozones within about a 15 mile radius of where I live to choose from. And one of the NAPAs is just under a mile up the road. I'll see here soon if my dislike of Champion still has merit.

You are missing the point. A stock, four cylinder Dodge Neon doesn't need iridium plugs. The most basic copper plugs work just fine in them. It's about spending extra money on plugs that won't last as long and cost 4x as much that will do the same job.

I was just trying to be supportive of the idea man! C'mon now Since you brought that up, I know a few tuners that actually suggest copper plugs in built cars vs. platinum, iridium and so on. They are cheap, but they work well!
